Church of the Small Things (Summer 2018 Evenings)

This easygoing, relatable study speaks directly to the heart of women who are longing to find significance and meaning in the normal, sometimes mundane world of driving carpool, soccer practice, cooking meals for their family etc.  God can use the smallest, most ordinary acts of faithfulness ---and sometimes they look a whole lot like packing lunch.  The author of the curriculum helps women embrace what it means to live a simple, yet meaningful life and how to find all the beauty & laughter that lies right beneath the surface of every moment.

Celebration, A Woman To Woman Ministry

Celebration is an official UMC ministry started in 1999 intended to minister to the women in the church.

Celebration is based on the vision from Luke 4:18-19. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

At one season or another in our lives, we each can relate to these words from Jesus. But He promises deliverance from all of our struggles and this group of women can be a support for you whatever season you may be in. Celebration is about spreading the message of salvation, releasing the power of God for freedom, healing and transformation and to disciple women in their journey of faith so they can reach other women.

Events are held in the Spring and Fall.

The vision of United Methodist Women is turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth both locally and around the world. We provide opportunities and resources for our members to grow spiritually and become more deeply rooted in Christ, putting faith into action. We meet monthly and have speakers from organizations who are actively pursuing these goals. We actively participate in and support some of these organizations. All women of the church are welcome.
