For there is hope for a tree, when it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its shoots will not fail.  Though its roots grow old in the ground and its stump dies in the dry soil, at the scent of WATER it will flourish and put forth sprigs like a plant.“  Job 14:7-9

Celebration, A Woman To Woman Ministry

Celebration is an official UMC ministry started in 1999 intended to minister to the women in the church.

Celebration is based on the vision from Luke 4:18-19. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

At one season or another in our lives, we each can relate to these words from Jesus. But He promises deliverance from all of our struggles and this group of women can be a support for you whatever season you may be in. Celebration is about spreading the message of salvation, releasing the power of God for freedom, healing and transformation and to disciple women in their journey of faith so they can reach other women.

Oct 18, 6:30 - 8:30 pm in Wesley Hall

Cynthia Corder from Recovery Chick Ministries will be our guest speaker for the night. Cynthia is not ashamed to tell her story & not ashamed of Jesus.  Come hear her share how to apply recovery principles to every area of life, and live a life we never could have imagined!

The vision of United Methodist Women is turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth both locally and around the world. We provide opportunities and resources for our members to grow spiritually and become more deeply rooted in Christ, putting faith into action. We meet monthly and have speakers from organizations who are actively pursuing these goals. We actively participate in and support some of these organizations. All women of the church are welcome.
