Faithful Friends Bible Study
Welcome women of all ages as we study EPIC OF EDEN: ISAIAH, an 8 week study by Sandra Richter. Thousands of years later, one of the most famous Old Testament prophets still has fresh words to speak. All too often, when Isaiah speaks today, God’s people have trouble hearing. Why? We often miss the larger context. In the Epic of Eden: Isaiah, Dr. Sandra Richter takes participants back to the eighth century BCE. This 8 week study explains Israel’s religion and economy, explores the definition and role of the prophets, and helps us to apply the message of this great champion of faith to our lives today.
Starting January 10, 2018
Time: Wednesday mornings, 9:30 – 11:00am
Facilitator: Shannan Wyatt
Curriculum: Epic of Eden: Isaiah
Working Women Bible Study

Starting January 9, 2018
Time: 2nd & 4th Tuesday evenings, 6:15-8:15pm
Place: Off Campus
Facilitator: Michele Johnson

Celebration, A Woman To Woman Ministry
Celebration is an official UMC ministry started in 1999 intended to minister to the women in the church.
Celebration is based on the vision from Luke 4:18-19. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
At one season or another in our lives, we each can relate to these words from Jesus. But He promises deliverance from all of our struggles and this group of women can be a support for you whatever season you may be in. Celebration is about spreading the message of salvation, releasing the power of God for freedom, healing and transformation and to disciple women in their journey of faith so they can reach other women.
Events are held in the Spring and Fall.
The vision of United Methodist Women is turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth both locally and around the world. We provide opportunities and resources for our members to grow spiritually and become more deeply rooted in Christ, putting faith into action. We meet monthly and have speakers from organizations who are actively pursuing these goals. We actively participate in and support some of these organizations. All women of the church are welcome.
