New Room Gathering in Houston

The staff of Friendswood Methodist are going to attend the New Room gathering at Chaplewood UMC in Houston on February 22.  We want to open the invitation to the entire congregation.  If you have been reading the Seedbed Daily reading, then you know how powerful and how much depth that organization brings to your daily lives.  The New room gathering is that same group of folks, coming to Houston for a day-long event.

These New Room Gatherings will be all about growing people into mature disciples who are becoming disciple makers. The day will be filled with visionary insight, practical wisdom and hands on practice. Banded Discipleship is not a new idea but it promises to be a new wineskin. The New Wine of the Holy Spirit is looking for new wineskins. Like you, we are pretty sure it won’t be new programs that do the trick. It is going to take a new class of relationships. It’s going to take disciples banding together in order to sow for a great awakening. If you are looking for a quick fix, this isn’t the ticket. If you are ready to put your hand to the plow in a new way and play the long game of awakening, . . . then you’ve got to be there.
