Friendswood Methodist Partnering with Builders Without Borders for a Haiti Project

Friendswood Methodist and our Mission and Outreach Ministry has started a new partnership with local organization Builders Without Borders to help provide for a new school being built in Haiti.

On January 13 and 20, there will be an opportunity to sponsor a desk and fill a chair in a high school being built in Haiti. What is so special about this school? In a poverty-driven land, education costs money most people cannot afford. This high school’s tuition is free if the students are willing to learn or already speak English. Our goal is to build 64 desks that will seat 320 students along with 8 teacher desks. This will have a huge long-term impact, all for a total cost of $9200.

Sunday, there will be a special Ministry moment during all three services to explain our partnership with Builders Without Borders and more details about our first interaction with them to help supply this new school for operation.
