What is ARROWS 56?
ARROWS 56 is our new Tween Ministry for 5th & 6th graders (56...get it? See below for what "Arrows" means) Led by our new ministry director Robyn Moore, the tween ministry will actively engage your kids to get them up out of the children's world and ready for Confirmation then the big Kingdom Student Ministries realms. Big changes! ...And big changes require a lot of care, communication and support between parents and kids, between kids and kids, and between the church the parents and the kids. It's all one big community getting ready for what's next!
Keep checking back here for announcements of events, registrations and bible studies.
Target Group: 5th and 6th graders of Friendswood United Methodist Church
Mission: Preteen Ministry bridges children’s ministry and youth ministry. We will be intentional in helping our tweens grow in their understanding of their faith and relationship with Christ and each other. They will use their gifts and talents to share the love of Christ with others.
Vision: Provide preteens a special place of their own where they can develop and grow in their unique relationships with Christ and with each other.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
Arrow definition: A mark or sign used to show direction or position; a pointe
The Lord is our archer and we are the arrows.
