We are very excited to invite you to join MOPS & MOMSNext at Friendswood Methodist beginning in the fall! We are a Christian community of moms from all walks of life who laugh together, support each other and love each other like family! All moms with kids from pregnancy to high school aged and everything in between are welcome!

We meet two Wednesdays a month, September through May, in a morning or evening group at Friendswood Methodist Church. For moms, each meeting begins with snacks and an opportunity to visit. Then we hear from a speaker on a relevant topic with practical application, followed by discussion with the ladies at our table. Several times a year we have a craft or another special activity during our regular meeting time. Childcare is available in the MOPS Kids program for ages 6 months through 7 years if needed.  In between meetings we organize family outings, moms’ nights out, and other community events. Most of all, MOPS & MOMSNext at Friendswood Methodist is fun!

This year we're going to HAVE MORE FUN, FEAR LESS and FIND OUR PEOPLE!

To find out more about the local program or to receive registration information once it becomes available, let us know here. Registration opens May 6 for Friendswood Methodist Church members & May 20 to the public. Questions? Email us at

PRAYING MOMS – Friday mornings, 9:30am, starting Sept 27:  This group of Moms with children mostly in preschool & elementary will be praying for one another while they study GIDEON, by Pricilla Shirer.  If you have ever struggled with insecurity or had trouble accepting your limitations, this study will help you see how God can use your weakness to unlock His strength.

TRIBE MOMS – Monday evenings, 6:30 pm, starting Sept 9:  Moms with children mostly in preschool and elementary will be doing a study together that will help them live out their faith in God in their busy mom years.  Study to be announced soon.  Childcare available with advanced registration.

FAITHFUL FRIENDS – Wednesday mornings, 9:30 am, starting September 4th for women of all ages. Current study: WILDFIRE – A life in Christ is impossible without the Holy Spirit.  Perhaps you know this to be true because you have tried following Christ in your own strength and the flame of your faith has been doused by discouragement.  Whether the Holy Spirit is a complete mystery to you or a familiar friend…you are not alone.  We are in this journey together.

PAC-MOMS (Praying for Adult Children, Moms Offering Moms Support) – Meets 2nd & 4th Tuesday evenings  from 5:30 – 7pm.  Just because our children are grown does not mean we stop praying for them!  Based on Stormie Omartian’s book:  The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children.

The vision of United Methodist Women is turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth both locally and around the world. We provide opportunities and resources for our members to grow spiritually and become more deeply rooted in Christ, putting faith into action. We meet monthly and have speakers from organizations who are actively pursuing these goals. We actively participate in and support some of these organizations. All women of the church are welcome.
