Friendswood United Methodist Church has a cherished tradition of presenting Bibles to our 3rd graders, marking an exciting milestone in the life of your child and family. This year, the Bible presentation will take place during the 11:00 am worship service on Sunday, January 18th.

January 25, 2026 | One Worship Service at 10 AM 

Make plans to join us on Sunday, January 25, 2026 for a joyful Building Dedication Service as we give thanks to God and celebrate this meaningful milestone in the life of our church. Following the service, everyone is invited to stay for a dinner and time of fellowship. Mark your calendar and come celebrate all that God has done—and all that is still to come—together as a church family.

Our January 27 program will highlight the Sailing Angels Foundation, an organization that offers free sailing excursions for education, respite, and recreational therapy to individuals facing developmental and physical challenges, life-threatening illnesses, and severe traumatic experiences.

Join us for a fun and informative afternoon with FMC member Brad Adams!  Brad, a Lead Docent at the Lone Star Flight Museum, will share the fascinating history of Houston’s Hobby Airport—from its 1927 beginnings to its brief season as Howard Hughes Airport to the 15M+ passengers it serves today. Come enjoy a walk down memory lane, great stories, and warm fellowship. Bring a friend and a snack!

TACO Nights (Talk About Christ Openly)
A weekly gathering for students to grow in faith and community, over tacos!

SH TACO Night returns on January 28th!  We meet Wednesday nights, 7-8pm in Wesley Hall for tacos and Jesus!  Join us for a study of Jonah and discover that what you see as an interruption may truly be God's divine invitation to a life so much bigger than you can imagine!

February 2, 2026 | Wednesdays | 4:15 PM 

We have Bible Clubs for grades 1-5. Clubs meet Wednesdays at 4:15, and then break out into smaller groups until 5:30 PM. Fourth and Fifth Grade run throughout the school year. Second Grade meets in the fall and First and Third Grade meets in the spring.

February 8, 2026 | Sunday | 5:30 PM 

5th Annual Family & Friends Watch Party!  Bring your family and friends and join us in watching the big game!  There will also be tailgate games, food, and fellowship!  Everyone is encouraged to bring your favorite Super Bowl appetizer or dessert to share.  There will be a vote for the best in each category!

This fun, all-church event features food, games, crafts, face painting and a bike parade! Join us on Tuesday, February 17th at 6 pm in the FLC Gym. The evening’s menu includes pancakes, toppings, juice, & sausage.
