GET CONNECTED

At Friendswood Methodist Church, we’re proud to have partnered with Upward Sports for years—bringing faith-based, character-focused sports programming to our community’s kids and teens. Building on that rich heritage, we now offer Onward Sports for adults aged 19 to 100. Through coed, low-impact sports, both ministries invite you to connect, grow, and play in an environment where fellowship shines brightest—helping us move both upward and onward together.

Both Upward and Onward Sports go beyond game time. They’re spaces where faith, friendship, fun, and growth intersect. You’ll find connection whether you're serving on the court or cheering from the sidelines.

ADULT SPORTS

This adult-focused league combines low-impact play with fellowship, friendly competition, and community connection—no matter your experience level.

Indoor Volleyball for Adults 19+!
6v6 coed teams, practice and games on Wednesday or Thursday nights. Build skills, make friends, and enjoy friendly competition — all skill levels welcome!

YOUTH SPORTS

Upward Sports is a faith-based youth sports program designed to help kids discover and develop their athletic skills while growing in character and confidence. Focused on creating a positive and encouraging environment, Upward Sports emphasizes fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship over competition, making it welcoming for players of all skill levels.

Through volleyball, soccer and pickleball, children not only learn the fundamentals of the game but also gain life lessons rooted in Christian values. The goal is to provide families with a safe and supportive community where kids can build friendships, strengthen their faith, and experience the joy of sports in a meaningful way.
