Ages 1 - 3
Bright Beginnings uses a theme based, hands-on curriculum focusing on developing the whole child. Our classes provide daily opportunities to build each child’s alphabet knowledge, print concepts, phonemic awareness skills, math concepts, and fine and gross motor skills.
Centers: We recognize that a child learns best through exploration and play. Through carefully prepared centers the children are able to interact with their environment while building the skills necessary for future school success. Teachers play an active role in helping the children develop not only their academic skills, but also their social skills such as cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution.
Chapel: One of our primary goals is to help build a solid Christian foundation for each of our children. During weekly chapel time the children learn Bible verses and stories while also praising God through music.
Music/Movement: Children love music and they love to move! To develop gross motor skills and encourage their love of music, all of our classes attend a weekly music/movement class. Not only is music class fun, but it also enhances the development of vocabulary, body and spatial awareness, and social emotional skills.
Science: Our 3 and 4-year-old classes attend science each week where they are encouraged to observe, explore, and investigate the world around them. Hands-on activities build on the children’s natural curiosity while helping them develop an understanding of how the world works.
