The Letter to the Romans

Beginning January 19 & 20, Pastor Jim will lead a twelve-week study on the Apostle Paul’s Letter to the Romans. Considered by many to be his most significant writing, it has shaped Christian thought more than any other book in the New Testament. In this OneBook Daily-Weekly study series, noted New Testament scholar Dr. Ben Witherington (Asbury Theological Seminary) will be our guide to better understand what Paul wrote to the church in Rome and apply it to our lives today.

This study was previously started last January, but suspended in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lock-down. If you were part of the prior study, we will start over and will use the same study guide. Everyone is invited to join in this in-depth look at Romans, whether you were part of the earlier study, or joining new in January.

The study guide will lead you through daily insights as you engage the text yourself. Then each week, Pastor Jim will lead a group session as we more fully explore together what Paul is saying.

The group sessions will be Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, and Wednesday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 am. All sessions will be in the Sanctuary to allow for greater social distancing. The study will begin on January 19/20 with an introduction and overview of Romans.
