Adults
If you enjoy working with Adult Ministries, the opportunities below are currently in need of volunteers.

| Life Groups | Life group facilitators are needed to support the growth of this program. |
| Refresh Ministry | Volunteers are needed to help with setup, clean up and snacks at events. Refresh meets every 4th Wednesday of odd months. |
| College Care Cards | Volunteers are needed to help put together the mailing of gift cards to college students during the fall and during the spring. |
| Support Team | We welcome individuals with various skills—administration, Canva, organizing event supplies, or simply a keen eye for detail. This team handle a variety of tasks, including cleaning and staging areas for videoing, creating graphics, and organizing spaces around the campus. There is not a specific meeting time, just when you are able. |
Congregational Care / Prayer
Opportunities within Congregational Care and Prayer assist those within our own congregation with current needs.

| Community Prayer Breakfast | A community prayer breakfast held monthly - Friendswood Methodist hosts twice per year. Volunteers are needed to assist with our breakfasts. |
| Gathering Place | Program and lunch for caregivers and their loved ones - volunteers needed to serve lunch, setup and take down and sit and visit with our guests. We gather on the 2nd Thursday of every month! |
| Pastoral Care Team | *Training and travel is required for this position.* This team provides ministry to our congregation in hospitals; rehab facilities; nursing homes; other medical facilities, including short/long term care; and hospice care settings. The team also visits in homebound settings |
| Bereavement Committee | Volunteers are needed to serve. The bereavement committee prepares receptions for after funerals held at the church. |
| Facility Maintenance | Volunteers needed for upkeep on small jobs around our church campus. |
| New member connections | Volunteers and host homes are needed to greet new members in quarterly gatherings in a home environment |
| Baptismal Quilt Ministry | Volunteers are needed to sew quilts which are given as gifts for those baptized at Friendswood Methodist. |
Kids
We have a number of opportunities for you to volunteer with our children's programs both at the church and our outreach missions. A background check and additional training is required for working with our children's programs.

| Early Childhood | Support with infant to preschool-age worship and small groups on Sunday mornings. |
| Club One | Westwood bible club (K-5th grade). Gathers through the school year. |
| Kids Hope | Mentoring program for students in K-5th grade through the school year. |
| Upward Sports | Coaches, referees, and help with setup and clean up is always welcome with this important community sports ministry for children preK 4 through 8th grade. |
| Bible Clubs | Our children's Bible Clubs for grades 1-5 meet on Wednesdays during the school year. Enthusiastic adult leaders are needed for this ministry. |

| Operation Christmas Child Committee | Throughout the year, assist with planning, fundraising, crafting and other activities to prepare for Operation Christmas Child in November. |
| Operation Christmas Child | Collect, sort and pack shoeboxes in November. |
Operation Christmas Child Drop Off Center | Drop Off Center - collect boxes and assist in taking them to the distribution center for 1 week in November. |
| Christmas JOY Party | Annual party in December to provide Christmas for families in our community - volunteers needed for setup, take down and to assist families during the event. |
| Christmas JOY Party | Spanish-speaking volunteers are needed as translators during the Christmas JOY party in December |
| Meals on Wheels | Ongoing throughout the year, delivery service for elderly and shut-ins - drivers needed. |
| Recycled Bicycles for Christ | Collect, repair and distribute bikes for homeless individuals - volunteers are needed to for collection, repair and distribution and bike donations are needed year around. |
| Weekend Warriors | Home improvement outreach - volunteers needed for improvement projects throughout the year. |
| Community Prayer Breakfast | A community prayer breakfast held monthly - Friendswood Methodist hosts twice per year. Volunteers are needed to assist during our breakfasts that we host. |
Serve on Sunday

| Communion Steward | Assist in serving communion and directing the congregation on Communion Sundays. |
| Golf Cart | Provide rides to church attendees on Sunday morning in need of assistance |
| Media Team - 9:30 Service | Transition slides and assist with online broadcast during our 9:30 contemporary service. |
| Media Team - 11:00 Service | Transition slides and assist with online broadcast during our 11:00 traditional service. |
| Music Ministry | We have a number of opportunities for serving in our music ministry including: Celebrate Contemporary band, Chancel Choir, Adult Handbells, Children's Choirs, Children's Handbells and Orchestra. You can find out more at friendswoodmethodist.org/music. |
| Photography Team | Volunteers with experience in photography who have their own DSLR camera are needed for our photography team. |
| Ushers - 9:30 Service | Ushers greet at the doors, pass out bulletins, provide seating assistance as needed, collect the offering and provide an attendance count. On the first Sunday of the month, ushers also help with guiding rows to the front for Holy Communion. Arrival 20 minutes before the service time is requested. |

| Welcome Ministry | Our Welcome Team is stationed at various locations on the church campus to greet both members and guests as they arrive and answer questions. Our Welcome Team also collects information cards from guests and connects them with pastors and various ministries. |
