Is training required?
Training is required for some of our positions. The designated contact person will be able to assist you with the required training. For working with our children and youth, a background check and Safe Sanctuary training is required.
I'm a student - can I get service hours?
Yes! Many of our ministries are happy to sign off on service hours completed for students.
How do I know which ministry to volunteer with?
We'd love to connect you to the mission or ministry that God's calling you to be a part of. If you're unsure of what might be the best fit for you, contact Rev. Sam McRae at sam@friendswoodmethodist.org.
How much time do I need to volunteer?
Time commitments vary depending on the ministry you're interested in but many only require 1-2 hours per month!
